Many decent restaurants within walking distance and the local market was very close. There was a really nice beach on the east coast within a 15 minute walk as well. "Property, although a bit dated makes up with excellent service. There was a sewage smell in the first room I was given which I believed was caused by torrential rains the area had been having. Hotel cleaning staff seem to have tried to mask it to best of their ability with heavily scented deodorizers to little help. Having said that, I think the smell is unavoidable and would likely be an issue at any coastal hotel, staff was graceful and moved me to another room. I found closing the toilet lid helps improve the situation and when rain stopped, so had the smell.
Other than that, facilities were good, food and service was excellent. I have enjoyed my stay. "
"We were upgraded to a Beachfront Pool Villa (thanks Vijitt!), and it was the most amazing setting. The private pool and view is magnificent, and the rooms are lovely. It was very private. We loved the beach, even though there are no waves, the quietness makes up for it."
