Gorgeous hotel inside and out, with excellent staff. The rooms are large, the elevators are fast and plentiful. The location is excellent ... it was beautiful when we were in Seattle and we talked to everything. There is a grocery store and Target within 1-3 blocks walking distance for any extras you may need during your stay. We will stay her again on our next trip to Seattle.

It was a varied how helpful the staff was. I would like people to know that the valet rate isn’t included in the daily resort rate, so for parking and resort (wifi) you spend $100 a night. No one mentioned this to me. When I mentioned the high rate, the lady at the counter said “the W is even more”. The cocktail drinks at the bar were mediocre and the food (breakfast) at the George was cold, burnt and took 45 mins to get to us. We were celebrating a big anniversary and decided to celebrate elsewhere and just sleep there. The block around the hotel seems safe but if you go down two blocks closer to pike place be careful. It got uncomfortable with lots of homeless people openly smoking meth. The first night was quiet, but Saturday night was busy with city sounds. Not to be helped but wanted to mention. I probably won’t go back to this hotel.

Pros: - Fair price for a luxury hotel - Very friendly staff - Help deliver food take-out to doorstep (which is a huge plus) - Great location at center of Seattle Cons: - Consistency of service. My bed sheet had a huge stain when I checked in and nobody would ignore that when changing the bed set. (The staff changed it quickly after I requested but should not have been a problem at first.) - I spent in total 14 nights at Fairment the past month and nobody ever told me there was a reward program. Today I figured out myself when booking SF Fairment and registered a reward account. Called Seattle Fairment and they said they could not add past trips. Not a big deal but airline companies can always trace back and add past credits. Just don't be that mean. - Construction going on during my stay so pretty annoying in the morning. - Wifi was down and the temporary wifi was slow as nothing. - Front desk was shorthanded sometimes and I was put on hold for service calls for 10 minutes. - Old building like many reviews mentioned so unavoidably the rooms feel old. Overall, not a bad hotel but it is below my expectations for the reputation. There are a lot of better and newer luxury hotels around and you get what you pay for. Most likely won't come back especially there is a brand new Four Seasons now in Seattle DT.
