We had never stayed in a Fairmont hotel before and given the branding, we had a high expectation for our stay. Unfortunately there were just so many things that didn’t go right. Things cheaper hotels do. After checkin our room keys didn’t work. It was the wrong room! Once in, our room was very dark because the buildings right next door were so close and we were told we were in an upgraded room. It didn’t feel like an upgrade. The lovely front desk manager moved us to a nicer view room and left us a surprised gift in the room when we returned. Which was wonderful. This was great!! The pool was very nice. The hotel overall was really nice but service was just a bit lacking the whole time. Staff seemed eager to help but when we asked them questions about the area and things to do, they didn’t seem like they even lived in Seattle! Maybe they don’t? We asked for a bar with live music and were told to go to Ballard, but then we found a place right in Pike place market. We asked about the 1 link light rail and the person didn’t even know it existed!! There’s no shuttle to the sites. The area near the hotel had a lot of open drug use happening and it doesn’t feel totally unsafe but I was happy we didn’t have our kids with us. Just overall we felt let down even after their attempts to save the visit. I think on our next trip to Seattle we’re going to try a different hotel. It’s beautiful and the history is cool, but something needs to be a bit better.,

Location was great. You could walk to many stores and restaurants. Hotel was very clean. The only down side we had to staying at this hotel was that room service wouldn't come until around 3pm. Very pretty on the inside with history about the hotel was interesting. Staff was friendly.

I was expecting much more than what was provided. The room had no view while my reservation had “view” I even asked for an upgrade in order to get a view but still you are not able to get any views here in this property basically all windows are blocked by a tall building that appears to be too close. If you look out the window at an angle you might be able to see some water views. Funny enough my original reservation had more water views than the upgrade so I went back to what I originally had. Staff are not usually nice. They have a fake smile and it is really hard to get a hold of them. Expect much less than any other Fairmont location. I will not stay here again.

Loved how comfortable and classy and uniqueness of the hotel. All of the staff were friendly and very welcoming. The in-room dinning was wonderful and the food was delicious. Very highly rated and recommended. We will be staying again soon!

The Fairmont is a beautiful property and the suite was great for our family — kids groused a bit about the sofa bed when we first walked into the room, but reported in the morning that it was very comfortable. Blackout curtains very welcome. Restaurant and Founders Lounge were great. Everything in the area is pretty expensive but we loved our time at the Fairmont Olympic. Shoutouts to Brittany at the front desk and Giulio with luggage for all their help in making this a lovely stay, even when the hotel was super busy.

The hotel lobby was characteristically beautiful but once in the room, the hotel felt tired and lacked a number of the touches that would be associated with an esteemed brand like Fairmont: - Lack of airflow or ability to cool down the unit in the summer is a failure. - Shower was lukewarm on hottest setting, and lacked pressure. - Towels were tattered, wallpaper was stained. - No refrigeration space aside from what was allocated for paid products. Altogether a bit disappointing for a ‘sure thing’ hotel choice.

After our original reservation at another hotel was dropped due to overbooking, we ended up at the Fairmont. Check-in was a breeze and they were even able to get us adjoining rooms. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to staying again.

We stay here often. But this time the room carpet was snagged, we couldn't get through to the front desk to order our valet car delivery (I went down to the valet to request in person), and the coffee machine was oddly on a lower cabinet shelf (and couldn't be lifted out) and hard to use. We love this hotel--just some things for them to take a look at.
