Beautiful views and great potential, but the experience felt rushed and a bit flat. The property sits on expansive land with roaming wildlife, including zebras — a real highlight. There are colour coded hiking routes across the property, which are a nice addition. Staff were friendly, and dinner was delicious — a beautifully cooked beef dish followed by dessert. However, it was a fixed meal with no menu or choice, which didn’t match reviews praising a full restaurant experience. This could be problematic for guests with dietary requirements. Our room was comfortable, especially the bed, but the layout felt odd, with a lot of unused space in the middle. We were also woken early by loud banging from the coffee station above — it really should be moved. We used the spa after hiking, as recommended at check-in, and were told it would be ready by 4pm. But when we arrived, there was no one there to greet us. The sauna was on, but the steam room hadn’t been switched on, and the jacuzzi still wasn’t warm — suggesting it hadn’t been prepped in time. Eventually, a staff member did show up and stayed past closing to accommodate us, which we appreciated. Still, it felt like a miscommunication between staff and showed a lack of attention to detail. If the facilities aren’t always ready, guests should be encouraged to pre-book. The pool robot sat in the water on both days and seemed off. A beautiful setting, but it needs more polish. Glad we stayed, but wouldn’t rush back just yet
