This hotel is a bit old and dated but it adds to the charm. When you first walk in it smells a bit musty - I am sure it is from the dampness of being right on the lake. The rooms do not have that smell. If you think so just open your window and your room will smell so fresh right away! We had a room with two windows - one looking towards Manitowac and one right out to the Lake. Sadly it was foggy when we were there so we didn't get to enjoy the view. But the sound of the waves! It was so wonderful to hear and it lulled us right to sleep. The bed was comfy. The breakfast gave you a choice of menu items or an amount off if you chose something else from the menu. The breakfast was very good! We would stay here again if we were in the area.
