This is the second time we have stayed at this property and already booked to come back again. Everything you need for a pleasant stay. Free parking is also a bonus. Just a few minutes away from the showground where they hold antique fairs. Jeff is an excellent host and cooks amazing meals. Looking forward to going back again soon.

I was given a warm welcome. The room was as expected with a comfortable bed and clean facilities. Good choice of courses for evening meal. The food was hot and delicious. An excellent and pretty property with everything you could need in the room. The host was exceptional in making us feel welcome and cooking delicious breakfasts and evening meals. The staff were very accommodating and hospitable. We were late arriving, rang to let them know an ETA (9.30pm) and enquired if they were still serving food, they informed us that they had stopped serving food around 8 pm, but that they would cook for us on arrival, which was ideal (particularly for a family of 4, all hungry and tired)! The food and beer were good. Couldn't fault it. The pub and accommodation are very characterful. Parts of the building are over 500 years old. It may not be for everyone, but for our one-night stay, it was ideal. The room was quite cold (this was late December, after all), but the heaters in the room(s) soon warmed us up. We all enjoyed a hearty cooked breakfast in the morning, with good tea and coffee. Again, the staff were very attentive and gave us lots of options. The only negative was a broken blind in the bathroom, which was situated next to the car park...it didn't feel fully private! All in all, a pleasant experience and stay.
