"This was a bit expensive for us, especially as it is a hostel and a bit out of town (20 min walk), but it was actually very nice indeed. The superb onsen was absolutely lovely with
sea
view, there was a nice reception, the shared lounge was enormous with amazing view and there was easy parking. We had a nice meal out at a friendly (recommended) local restaurant. Shiretoke is a truly beautiful nature reserve and well worth a visit. We were happy we stayed here."

"Stayed in the top floor suite for 3 days and found every penny worth. Great service, great room and great views The only drawback is the distance to Rausu. We did not have a car, but the front desk helped in every possible way for taxi, buses."

"Hosts are helpful and sent us instructions on the day we checked in. Not really a hostel per se, no cooking was permitted. There was also some charge for disposal of food waste. There was no lighting at the car park area with portholes, so checking in after sunset could be challenging."
