"This is a mixed bag - a beautiful place to stay - right on the water with seals barking right outside. The two-bedroom unit we stayed in was lovely, very roomy, separate bathrooms, well-equipped kitchen, with a wonderful view.
But to be perfectly clear, it is NOT a resort and Therese are NOT cottages. They are condominiums, probably meant to be individually owned. There is no “resort” as such, no lobby, no amenities, no gathering spaces, pool or spa, or restaurant. Check-in is in a trailer as you enter the property.
It is a long way from anything. One tavern and one small store within a 20 min drive. Everything else is in Sooke Harbor - a 35 min drive to get to restaurants, etc.
the location is absolutely great for star-gazing - if they would turn off all the motion sensor lights and put covers on permanent lights it would be even better. We went out around 9:30 pm and could clearly see many constellations and even galaxies with a good pair of binoculars. I would encourage them to host star-gazing events for meteor showers -it was that good.
So - if you do book, bring food and games, settle in and enjoy!"
