"This is a huge hotel and there were many guests. It is located near I-44 in a business and residential area. It is old (seven for hallway ceilings) but well kept.
Check in was quick and straight forward. Our room was clean and fairly spacious. We were a LONG way from the breakfast and front lobby, but we were able to drive around to a convenient entry. While old, things have been updated. The bed was comfortable, the room was quiet.
The fitness room is decent sized. Treadmill, elliptical, stationary bike and Peleton bike, and a Hoist your gym. Around the corner on the L-shaped room is a weight bench and rack of dumbbells. Machines seemed to be in working order. The weight set was missing 10, 15 and 25-pound dumbbells (went to to 50 lbs). There were no towels or disinfecting wipes (both had places there but weren't restocked). You can't watch the TV while using the machines as they are mounted on the wall in the weight section.
Breakfast was fairly standard "free" hotel buffet. However, there was no fresh fruit, dairy (milk, yogurt) or decaf coffee offered. Luckily, there is a Starbucks literally next door.
In summary, I would stay here again. It was clean, reasonably priced, the pet fee wasn't outrageous (looking right at you, Marriott and IHG) and the rooms are comfortable. The fitness room is only a C+ and breakfast was perhaps a C-. Overall, I grade it a B."
