Top Shrewsbury Hotel Reviews

Prince Rupert Hotel
6/10 Okay
"Given how central the hotel is, the room was relatively quiet and spacious enough. We found the double bed on the small side and too firm, neither of us slept well. Good choice was offered at breakfast but the cooked element was luke warm."

Holiday Inn Express Shrewsbury by IHG
8/10 Good
"Clean rooms."

The Lion Hotel Shrewsbury
4/10 Poor
"Property is well situated but is very tired, windows don’t open, beds uncomfortable, flooring cracked in the bathroom."

The Loopy Shrew
8/10 Good
"Good central location within easy walking distance of shops, attractions and railway station. The room was clean with all the facilities needed for our stay. The staff were friendly and the bar and restaurant had a nice atmosphere. The included breakfast was very nice. Would not hesitate to stay again."

Cromwell's Tap House
10/10 Excellent
"Great location and a lovely old pub/ Hotel"

The Old Rectory
10/10 Excellent
"I stayed here for two nights and had no issues except the toilet stopped flushing but this was sorted within minutes of my mentioning it to a staff member.
The staff were all excellent and are very courteous and polite. The rectory itself is old and the rooms and decor are not modern but this just adds to the charm in my opinion.
All said and done it’s a nice place to stay at a very reasonable price."

Albrighton Hall Hotel and Spa, a member of Radisson Individuals
6/10 Okay
"Hole in bath towel- and the one it was replaced with.
Poor communication with spa. Tried to book a massage on 2 occasions in week preceding stay. It went to ansafone saying to leave a message and they would get back.. They never did and no massages available when we tried again on arrival. Tea/ coffee/milk not refilled in room. Other issues too. On plus side they did try and recify and on departure decreased cost paid for room."

Hawkstone Park Hotel
6/10 Okay
"I booked 3 rooms in total as visiting an event, the first two rooms were booked as twin rooms and my room was booked as a double, when I arrived the reception said all 3 rooms were twins which I disagreed with but had no option but to take the room. thankfully this was away from the function room that was hosting a wedding, unfortunately the other two rooms I did book where right above the function room and the walls were bouncing. The hotel had not informed us of this function or I would have requested quiet rooms. Only the bar was open for food and it was a very limited menu (burger or pizza) due to the wedding.
Overall I was not impressed on the staff attitude - receptionist and not being advised of the wedding prior to our arrival. I travel a lot and most hotels will advise if there is a function on so you can ask for a quiet room."

Darwin's Townhouse
10/10 Excellent
"Good size room. A blanket and bowls available for pets. "
