The hotel is extremely old and dirty. I was extremely disappointed; it's not worth the price we paid for this stay. Cleanliness standard was very poor, and housekeepers did not do their job well. There was a used towel still left in the room from previous guest at the time of my arrival. I would never return to stay here here. Beware of bugs if you stay at the river villa.
Vi havde næste stedet for os selv. Venlig betjening. Skønt at kunne hoppe direkte i søen fra værelset. Fredeligt, bortset fra en smule motortøj fra (ulovlige) jetmotorkøretøjer på søen. Rengøringen svigtede første dag, men de kom hurtigt ved henvendelse. Noget slidt flere steder, men ok rent. Haven ikke helt holdt. Vi havde et rigtigt godt ophold.
Raya Buri Resort is the most distant resort of the "local" resorts from Erawan Waterfalls over a challenging road. The location is attractive, right on the reservoir, with kayaks and paddle boats available for guests. One morning there was no water and I was unable to take a shower and had to wash my hands with bottled water. When I complained, the staff gave me a $4 discount on my bill. That hardly seemed like fair compensation!
Very quiet, peaceful and remote place to stay in Kanchanaburi area... Excellent value... Not too high end or fancy, but certainly well above average and perfectly fine accommodations...I highly recommend rRaya Buri

The resort has all of facilities you ask for. I enjoy the duck ship. I also enjoyed breakfast a lot. Our floating house has a beautiful view of the Srinakarin Dam; however it is super sensitive once the storm hits at early night. The house were shaking and we need to leave the house for the restaurant or we would have thrown up. Also the houses are not private, people can walk to the neighborhood house through the terrace, we need to make sure we had locked our doors. There was a blackout during the night we stayed. The television signal was not prepared well, we need to call the technician to fix the signal, and the reception seems to have no idea about what kind of TV they have at all. Your personal bathing kit are not available for free. Make sure you have bought everything including snacks before getting there since the minimart looks a bit run down. Still the staff are super friendly even if they easily confuse themselves during our check-in and check-out.
need a bridge to get to rooms not a wooden board. dangerous for some people

An okay place. Not great, but okay.
Stayed in the hill rooms, not on the water. It was low season only us and two other couples. Ate dinner there and it was good. Breakfast was made to order and okay. The bed was a bit uncomfortable. Kind of hard. Has those toilets that you are not suppose to put toilet paper in. They look western but have a sign that says not to put paper in them. Not uncommon outside the major tourist areas.
We've never slept in a floating "unit" and jumping out of bed in the morning and diving in the lake was probably a once in a lifetime experience. I saw other hotels on the lake with the same sort of units, but they looked very basic, most likely without toilet, as the infrastructure needed to handle that is very, VERY expensive and I imagine very costly to maintain, as are making all the units stay together with rising or falling water levels. We originally were checked into a very nice room "on land" but decided to go to the water units...same price so changing wasn't a problem. The water units have A/C, very hot water and a small porch. There is an "incline" or, diagonal tram, that is maintained which can help those with tons of luggage get it down to the floating units, or customers might not be able to use all the steps down. As for location, spectacular. I doubt I could have found it without GPS navigation, but I came at night. When leaving in daylight, I did see LOTS of flags, and there were signs a major turns. Driving the switchbacks was fun and the government road was as well designed and maintained as if it was in Japan...a real change from so much of Thai highways, which, BTW, the major roads are getting a great overhaul. The restaurant was fine, and although I didn't like the freeze dried coffee as the only choice in the breakfast, there is a Cafe right there that opens at 8am that has real coffee. The breakfast was the usual Thai breakfast. I would go again!

Relax Hotel
The scenery are great but prepare for Mosquitoes Invasion at night. Must close windows and doors. Bring insect repellent and food. Restaurant charge high price for foods. Far from town so bring a lot of food and drinks if you want to avoid high cost at hotel's restaurant. Great place for laying low and honeymoon. Rooms are a bit old but provide everything needed to have relax stay.
For the price we paid, we should be able to find better hotel. Breakfast is below standard. The view is on average, not that superb view. The worst thing is that there is no wifi in your room. We can connect at the lobby but no actual Internet. The staff couldn't understand. The hotel will f... ing charge you if you lose key (1,000 bt and luckily we didn't lose it)
In brief, I won't ever come back again.
I booked the hillside room. The room was spacious. No basic amenities (hair dryer, kettle, small towels, etc.), even for borrow. Water in the bathroom stop midway and I had shampoo on my hair. :(
