This fine medresa and mosque was built in 1904 by French architect Henry Petit in beautiful harmonic neo-moorish style. It is named after marabout (patron saint of the city) Sidi Abd-er- rahman-et-Thalbi (1387-1471), hence the Thaalibiya name.
