Jaya House was the best overall experience I’ve ever had at a hotel, and I’ve travelled a LOT. The staff go way over and above, and sincerely seem to care about each guest. They actually anticipated most things we wanted/needed, and proactively acted on it. They provided free transportation to anywhere we wanted to go in the vicinity, and gave us suggestions on things to do that we never would have found in a travel book or online. For example, they sent us to a small local temple on the top of a hill, where we received a blessing from a Buddhist monk. They even sent one of their hotel staff with us. The hotel itself is beautiful, with a unique, modern architecture that still reflects the local design. There are two large swimming pool’s, and each one was pristine. The included breakfast has a large selection, including custom omelets, fresh fruit, etc. Our package included unlimited laundry and a one hour massage per person per day. The spa services were divine! They do not use any plastic in the hotel. Instead you get a metal refillable water bottle that you can take with you when you leave, and they use straws made of bamboo. Every employee is given free English lessons, even the housekeepers. The hotel manager throws a monthly lunch party for all the staff, and they are allowed to use the hotel pool and facilities. I would go back to Siem Reap just to stay at this hotel!
