We were thrilled with the variety of excursions available, especially the whale-watching tour and horseback riding through the stunning landscapes. These activities allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the natural beauty of Costa Rica. The property manager was especially accommodating, providing us with everything we needed throughout our stay, including a thoughtful surprise—a delicious birthday cake to help us celebrate my birthday weekend. I must mention that the accommodations are quite unique; our room had no television, which I found refreshing as it encouraged us to disconnect and enjoy our surroundings. However, it's important to bring your hiking boots, as reaching our room involved some hiking, which added to the sense of adventure. The views from our room were nothing short of spectacular, overlooking both the ocean and the lush rainforest. This serene and remote retreat was exactly what my wife and I needed—a peaceful escape from our busy lives. "The location of the property is beautiful, set back from the road and elevated for a great view of the Pacific. We particularly enjoyed the Happy Hour each day at 5:00 to enjoy the fabulous sunsets. The pool, the colorful plants, the toucans, tanagers, orapendulas and numerous other birds added so much to our visit. The staff was so accommodating and friendly. Our 5 days spent at Cristal Ballena were top notch!"
