We stayed in a suite room. The room itself and the breakfast were both very good. However, we specifically booked the suite because it was advertised as being available as a twin room. Instead, the hotel simply pushed two single beds together and covered them with a single king-size mattress topper. When I raised this issue, the staff were polite and friendly, but we were told that no changes could be made. I found this difficult to understand, as it seemed that simply changing the mattress topper to 2 single size topper would have solved the problem. This was very disappointing, especially because we had specifically selected the twin-room option when making the reservation. Had I known in advance that a proper twin setup would not be provided, I would have booked a standard room at half the price instead.

Wow on the water!

The place to stay in this lovely city on the water. Worth every penny. The staff made accommodations for us have breakfast early. Highly recommend this place coming or going from Arlanda airport.

1909 Stads Hotell was very clean. The service was alright. However they don’t have air conditioning in the rooms and it was very very warm. I feel like for the price we paid for our stay it should have been more than a hot small attic type room.

loved my room (109) with the sea view , swedish flag waving in the wind, nice outdoor balcony. Lovely airy room, mini fridge, little TV, comfy white bed.. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the big ugly print of an outdated phone hanging on the wall over my bed. Surely the hotel can find a more picturesque, welcoming piece of artwork to enhance the lovely bedroom , which is more fitting for a first class hotel. Like a painting of a beautiful Swedish summer scene, or a peaceful view of the Sigtuna lake with a sprinking of white boats in the distance.. Since the room is all white, a touch of color would be welcome, some greens, some blues, a bit of yellow.... Not a creepy photo of an old phone from the 70's which nobody really liked or used anyway. If you can't throw away the print for whatever reason, then at least take it downstairs to one of your meeting roos instead, and replace it with one of those colorful paintings from downstairs, (you have several in the living room and conference room and hang it on the bedroom wall instead!

En del av personalen var förmodligen inte ursvenskar, de försökte nog vara tydliga i sitt tal men det var lite svÄrt att förstÄ ibland. Vid tillsÀgelse nÀr det fattades bÄde koppar, socker, skedar vid kaffebordet och av detta fick jag ta om tillsÀgelsen en gÄng. Förberedelserna inför frukosten verkade inte vara tillrÀckliga. De verkade ocksÄ vara underbemannade unnder frukosten dÄ det ocksÄ saknades bÄde fil och skedar. Det fanns heller ingen att sÀga till och kö bildades snabbt. I vÄrt rum, 207, saknades skohorn. Till de skor jag anvÀnde vid detta tillfÀlle krÀvs skohorn och jag Àr dessutom över 71 Är sÄ det hade varit skönt med ett lÄngt skohorn. I nÀmnda rum sÄ anvÀnde jag toaletten i 5-tiden pÄ morgonen och nÀr jag spolat och lagt mig igen började det droppa i vattenbehÄllaren och det höll pÄ i 15 minuter och det Àr ett enerverande ljud som gör att man inte kan somna om. Toalettdörren var stÀngd naturligtvis. I övrigt var maten bra förutom att bacon var stekt för lÀnge till frukosten, nÀstan svart. Middagen var bra men högt sorl var lite besvÀrande. Parkeringsplatserna var i minsta laget map bredden.
