Top Simon Bolivar Museum Hotel Reviews
Hotel New Bilbao Airport
8/10 Good
"Great for the hotel but nothing else really around the hotel."
Holiday Inn Express Bilbao by IHG
10/10 Excellent
"clean room nice towels air conditioning great the shower was very slippery "
Hotel ILUNION Bilbao
10/10 Excellent
"Wonderful stay in Bilbao. The check-in and check-out process was completely hassle-free, and the reception staff were very attentive. Breakfast was fantastic with a great selection, and the hotel's central location made it easy to explore the city."
Sercotel Arenal Bilbao
8/10 Good
"Sercotel Arena has a great location, and is overall a good mid-budget level place to stay. It's right on the main drag, and that can be good or bad - it's central to the various tourist locations but can also be loud with street noise. There was a good breakfast spread, I would say reasonable value for the $10 you pay, though being that close to outside options, I would next time choose to eat elsewhere. The staff are very nice, but seemed somewhat clueless on basic questions - for example, I asked if buses would accept my phone for contactless payments, and they said yes. (Narrator: they don't.) Maybe they thought I meant the local transit authority's card on my phone but that would be a strange intepretation for a tourist's question.) The lobby lights were too bright, the fridge didn't really get very cold - minor stuff really, but I would rather have paid a bit more and even stayed further from Casco Viejo."
Batimont Suites & Apartments
8/10 Good
"Room was big, space to move around, nice comfy bed. Nice to have the kitchenette (we only stayed 2 nights but nice to have). Location solid - 10mins walk over to the Old Town and then down to Guggenheim. Buzzy area around hotel. Overall solid stay."
Hesperia Bilbao
10/10 Excellent
"Excellent choice for one last night in the city. Had an early morning flight but the commute was a breeze so worth staying in town"
Radisson Collection Bilbao
8/10 Good
"A very good option for a 4-star hotel in Bilbao right near old town. The room was spacious and very comfortable. Highlights include the enormous shower and his and her sinks in the bathroom. The front desk staff was great. We were in town for the eclipse, and they provided great tips on where to go to see the event, and details about the local weather and what to expect. Checking in and out was smooth, once we figured out where to park; there is a single spot out front that is okay for hotel guests to park short-term in an otherwise restricted area. There is a Michelin-star restaurant on the top floor where we dined on the second night. The service was excellent and the price fix menu was very good; I thought the starters were much better than the entrees though. The only real disappointment was the breakfast buffet, which we paid for in advance. The selection was not great, especially with the fruit. The scrambled eggs were incredibly dry the first day, and only slightly better the next. You can special order a few items; I ordered the eggs Benedict on day two and it never came, so I just left instead of trying to order it again. Also, I tried to change the time of our dinner reservation on the second night due to the eclipse. The buffet manager said she made the change, but when we came back for dinner, our name was not even on the reservation list. Fortunately, we were able to be seated anyway. Overall, very good stay but skip the buffet."
Occidental Bilbao
10/10 Excellent
"The hotel was clean, the coffee was excellent and the bar drinks were very reasonable. The only issue we had was that I wanted to iron a blouse and although there was an electric hand-held steamer in the room, the cable was not long enough to reach the hangers."
Barceló Bilbao Nervión
10/10 Excellent
"Staff were friendly, room was well equipped. A little noise bleedthrough, but nothing terrible. I work as a roadie and hadd far worse."
