"It is a fantastic place to stay in Brunei and a great restaurant underneath too. Best if you have a rental car (but you need that anyway to get around in Brunei). Sitting in the little pool overlooking the river is very memorable. "
"We chose this hotel for proximity to most things. Easy (normal Asian footpaths standard) walking distance to many attractions and shopping, either local shops or big malls. The waterfront is close by to get water taxis to Kampung Ayre. If there for a few days there is a coin laundromat just around the corner. There is a complimentary filtered water on each floor and there is a restaurant on site though so many choices within 5 mins walk. The room was on par for similar establishments though we found the bed extremely hard. Hotel does not have a pool or gym but provides complimentary access to a gym not too far away. There is a hotel shuttle that runs to a timetable at reception though we didn’t use it. Whilst it may not have the facade of the Empire, you can’t beat its location. "
"You can easily reach the mosque and city center from a footbridge near to the property, Google maps shows walking all the way around via streets. The room was spacious and the bedding and bathroom clean, but the overall room was not
The baseboards and corners were all visibly dusty. The pool really needed a good cleaning and all the decking was not very clean either. The breakfast had several choices, but all the upholstered chairs were really stained. The staff was really efficient and welcoming. I did arrange the airport shuttle to the airport for $15 BD, it went very smoothly and priced in line with Grab. The attached cafe had good food, and there are several other restaurants nearby. Property really needs a deep clean."
"Staffs are nice & friendly
Lobby & hallways are clean & nice
Room is very bad looking not meeting the hotel standard, I will consider that is motel
Towel & shower curtain look very gross & dirty very old, toilet looks dirty & tank handle is broken
Fridge is definitely gross, i don’t dare to put my food in used the fridge, smells & dirty
Internet is very poor connection when i have to work on my computer
Overall with the price I pay, i can’t complaint too much.
