Difficult check in. System was down, so digital keys could not be accessed. Several people arrived at the same time, no space to stand. Room is hard to navigate for a family. Great area to visit, but not worth the hassle if traveling with a family.

Five star on location-the place was very convenient, in the center of Chinatown, walkable to Hawker Center, shopping, and MRT district lines. Two star-no elevator to third floor, room was really tiny, and the place can use a paint job and an upgrade on furniture.

We stayed at Cube twice during our trip and found the rooms to be quite clean and tidy and suitable for a family of five. They are quite compact which is pretty much what you’d expect but have plenty of little compartments, charging points and room amenities. Good for a stay of a night or two. Be aware that there are a couple of flights of stairs if you have little kids or lots of suitcases. Only negative was the awkward, painful check in process - should be easy with the app, but it doesn’t work very well and the desk person does nothing to help except hand you your room cards when you finally get through it.

This is a specific type of accommodation that may not be right for everyone however we loved how easy it was to get to the local MRT and that we could eat at the local hawkers or the main area of Chinatown. Our room was clean and compact and the stacked queen beds worked great for us.

Walkable and convenient for local transportation. The bad? awful lightning in the room and no power outlets to connect phones or other gadgets overnight. Not even one close to the bed. I had to unplug the TV to use it to charge our phones overnight. But... It's cheap, almost no space in the rooms but if you'll be out most of the time it's manageable.

While I knew it was going to be tight, there were a lot of things that were broken. The fold down table for laptops was broken. One of the individual lights in the upper bunk was broken. The location however was fantastic

The positive is the location, close to transport and plenty of hawker food around. The room is small and old. Too noisy, no soundproofing at all, can hear next room and outside traffic. No escalator or lift. So plenty of stairs to carry luggages, even to reach to the reception.

It was ok

I mean, if you are staying at this place then you know why you are staying there. For being a budget place that gives you a place to sleep and rest your bags, it performs its part. I'd recommend ear-plugs if you are staying in the larger family rooms though, our room was situated by a window that had a very noisy AC-unit outside, it was quite difficult to fall asleep with the AC intermittently blaring in your ear. We had a smaller room for one night as well, and the quality in that room was MUCH higher, so I guess the quality in this place varies a bit. Overall, perfectly serviceable budget accommodation.

This is a good stay for shorter stays but for longer stays, I would recommend to spend an extra cash for a more spacious place. This is a capsule hotel overall, and we were happy. Location wise it was amazing, it was in the middle of china town and we had access to many stores and shopping streets, the monerail wasn’t far from the hotel as well. China point was just 6 minute walk. I would say the only cons about this hotel is the management and the stairs upon arriving. When you arrive to this hotel, there’s a long staircase you have to carry all your luggage up. It’s very heavy if you have 30KG worth of luggage but if you’re strong then this might not be a problem. Upon check in, there was a woman in the lobby and she was checking me and my siblings in. I would say that it would be a better experience if she could treat us a little bit more with respect, and if she could smile a little bit more. She seemed annoyed to have to check us in, and she would barely give a smile. I think the first meeting with the management should be a good first impression, which I didn’t get here. Also at times where I would want to buy a drink or when I was about to check out, there was no one in the lobby.
