Clean room and bathroom/ shower
Only 1 shower and toilet for entire hostel
Wouldn’t really call it a hostel either as no common area or place to prep food or store food for that matter, not the easiest to find.
Bed was rock hard but if planning to just sleep then fine
Sarah runs this place and is super friendly and helpful. It has everything i would want from a hostel, its clean, quiet at night, has good wifi and is in a good location. Note: when trying to find it, its located up one floor from the ground. Would certainly recommend.
there is only 1 toilet and 1 shower. The washer bow is with the toilet and it is super tiny. However, the host is nice, it has an unbeatable location just next to the temple, MRT, and buses. The mattress is really bad quality and it is covered by plastic which makes it an un-breathable mattress.
I rated it lower than perfect for several reasons—the rooms are small, slightly hard to find, front office hours limited. I was the only one in the 6 bed room…. But if there had been 6 of us it would be quite crowded. There is no lobby, only an outside covered walkway with chairs. It is on an upper level of an apartment complex with restaurants below. The office is several doors down. They don’t allow check in before 2pm, but will store luggage. Lockers and locks provided, clean bathrooms, locking codes to get into sleeping areas, good a/c that we can control, small kitchen area, few minutes from 2 subway stops, each bunk has a light and electrical outlet and hanging hooks.
I enjoyed my stay at CSW Hostel, but I must add that I am not a very demanding guest.
The hostel is not small, it is tiny. So if you are looking for spacious surroundings, you will not be happy here. On the other hand, if what you need is clean comfortable bed, inexpensive, and near major attractions, you will be fine here.
One difficulty that I learned to navigate was that there is only 1 toilet and sink for the maximum of twelve guests. My first day I was slow waking up and it had to wait a long time while one guest hogged the bathroom. I learned that every day more people woke up between ten and eleven a.m. so if I got in there around seven a m, i had plenty of time.
If you are seeking socialization, the hostel is too small for common meeting areas, TV rooms, etc. I stayed ten days in the hostel. About half the time I met fellow travelers who were very interesting to talk to.
One night, there was a guest who snored loudly all night long and kept all of us awake.
Be aware, management can't clean the bathroom after each use. One night, at midnight, a guest had managed to get water over everything, even the walls and it became almost unusable. I texted management and the caretaker was in cleaning the bathroom within minutes.
They try very hard to do a good job with a small space. I appreciated it.
