we were in the Mayfair Wing and had a balcony looking over the back of the property. The room was large, comfortable, with seats on the balcony. TWG Teas in the room. The bathroom is also large with a bath and the shower over the bath. We're both in our late sixties and had no problem with this. Toiletries are fine, towels good, though I did find the bathrobes a bit on the tiny side (I'm 177cms and not that fat!).
We used room service a couple of times and it was informative (how long to wait) and staff delivering our order were friendly and polite.
Check-in and check-out were fine - no problems.
There are a number of restaurants within the hotel, though we only used the Coffee Lounge. I thought the food from Room Service and the Lounge were both very good - excellent taste and a reasonable size serve.
GPH is a three minute walk to the Far East Plaza, a pedestrian cross-over to the other side of Scotts Road, with bus stops also located adjacent to the cross-over. It's maybe six minutes to an Orchard Rd MRT entrance.
Other reviewers have commented that the rooms are dated. I guess this is true but hey, not everything is a 2022 build.
