Staff is great but the property is old and even paint is chipping. The design is horrible and tries to be modern and instead just end up being badly designed. Shower leaks water, water does not fall into the drain so the place is perpetually wet

Pros: Very friendly staff and nice swimming pool. Cons: Extremely dirty and badly maintained for $170 a night. The pictures are deceiving. Please don't stay here. There was thick layer of dust on high touch areas like cups, fridge and tables. Toilet was extremely dirty with many long hair in toilet bowl, and short shaved hair in sink. Requested for a king bed but was given 2 single beds which were in terrible condition. This room is one of the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, and for $170SGD a night. You can find better accomodation elsewhere.

The place gave me the rustic feels. Its not as bas as how the reviews are, may need a little bit of maintainance but understandable due to the pandemic, but what they lack in the place they made up for great customer service!

Xy hotel staycation with my wife
Location of hotel is in between two mrt stations; bugis and lavender. It is located near to the arab street and beach road and not to mention Bugis street and bugis junction. From the decoration and fitting of the rooms, it more towards boutique hotel. The carpet floor is abit dirty. Other than that all others are acceptable.

Good experience with the tub and all. Just that our room handle was not working great and we couldn’t lock our door so we used the physical door lock where we slid the metal chain hook instead.

Not as good as we'd hoped from the photos for the money. The whole hotel needs a freshen up in decoration. Breakfast was ok - self service, although sausages and scrambled eggs were cold each day. Good points were the location - easy to get to two mrt stations, and the fact you could go and get free tea and coffee throughout the stay. Staff were indifferent.

Totally disappointing. The bathroom floor was wet and with cracks. The sliding glass door was faulty. We came back to the room after dinner and the power tripped several times! The receptionist got us another room but the new room came with a faulty door lever and we are unable to lock the door, had to use the door chain in the end. We booked a room with a king-size bed but was given 2 single bed (thou they merged it for us). The condition for the bathroom in the new room is bad as well, cracks on the floor and the sliding door can be closed fully, causing the whole bathroom to be wet after our shower. No bottled water as promised, Breakfast was bad. Cold and blend scrambled eggs. Chicken sausages that were soaked in a pot of water and looked as thou they were left there for days and chicken ham left on a plate together with some cakes. Packets of biscuits were also provided. There is ONLY 1 receptionist on duty at 1 time. We had wanted to enquire about late check-out but was told by one of the staff that the receptionist has 'gone out to buy something' and he will get her to inform us about our enquiry, which we obviously did not get any reply on. Accessibility wise, it is in the middle of Bugis and Lavender MRT but you may have a problem travelling on a rainy day as it is not sheltered. The nearest convenience store is 3mins away. Overall review - BAD.

nice location. amenities are sufficient for a boutique hotel like this. however, the vanity light bulb in my bathroom burnt out, and there's water dripping from the aircond - i placed the bath towel underneath. the sound proof isn't the best. for one night sleep, i would say that it's not bad.

Quirky Cute Hotel!
I truly enjoyed my stay here. Staff was very welcoming, rooms were cute , clean and quirky. Apparently every room in the hotel has a different design. AND it's super great that I can get free snacks whenever I wanted from the lobby ;)

What I liked most during my stay here was the hospitality of the staff. The food is average, but there are a lot of restaurants nearby that you can drop by. The place is also close to the mall (Bugis). Overall, the place is ideal if you are looking for a low-cost hotel yet within the city center.

I stumbled upon this lovely hotel and it was quite the surprise especially with me hurting my ankle. The staff was very kind and helpful during my stay, I wish I could've stayed longer

Nice staff, ok but small room, the bed is a mattress laying on the floor. Do not opt for breakfast as dishes are stacked dirty and food is limited in option. They also left the food sitting out until the eggs and bottom half of the hot dogs turned grey. This property would do well to drop the breakfast altogether as it's so gross that it taints the entire experience of staying there. They do have some cool artwork hanging around and in the rooms though!

However every room in our hotel is different and the beds are also placed in various forms. As for the breakfast we sincerely apologise and feel that the breakfast may have been at the tail end of the breakfast session. We will certainly look into this seriously and improve to make our standards better.

Awesome stay but noisy neighbors
The place is amazingly clean and well equipped. Enjoyed my stay here. Downfall is hallway there are noisy room neighbors. Kept me up for one hour while trying to sleep. The door is not insulated and can hear people talk in the hallway. Overall a very nice stay aside the noise.

Amazing night with xy hotel
It was an amazing night with their hotel. Their hotel staffs are friendly and willing to guide you through the check in process. The room we have checked in is the suite (mystery of time) and it was totally an unexpected experience. If you would want to escape the heat from singapore, you may want to stay in the room as their air-conditioner was extremely chilled. Location is great. 10 min walk to bugis junction, 8 min walk to cafe streets, 15min walk to swee choon if you are hungry in the middle of the night. The street is quiet so you will definitely have a good night sleep in the room. the room was a great ambience to take some instagram worthy photo.

Convenient, Unique Design and Friendly Staffs
Walk-able distance to shopping malls. Few restaurants just along the street where the hotel is located. Room was unique in their design, very cosy as well. Amenities are well kept and arrange. Breakfast was ok, nothing fancy but definitely able to fill our stomach with the usual food and beverages. Staffs are friendly, even greeted us when we were taking our breakfast. Check-in and check-out process are quick. Didn't manage to use their outdoor pool but definitely a great place to hang out.

Hotel was located in a quiet street very close to many public transport routes and walking distance to some fabulous, inexpensive, middle eastern restaurants. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean. Breakfast was basic and when the food ran out, that's exactly what it did! The food supply was not monitored or replenished. Our original room was tiny with no room to sit, other than the bed! We then received an upgrade due to the fact that the hotel management wanted our room as it required painting. We accepted the upgrade only to find that the roof leaked when there was an expected storm.

Dear Ms Lorraine Thank you for your kind review. We are very surprised to hear that you were disappointed with the breakfast service. Breakfast is served from 7.30am till 10am and we had kept the food for you and your husband even though both of you woke up very late close to 10am daily. As for the room upgrade, it was offered to you out of goodwill. Your original reservation was for our standard room which is our lowest category. You will then upgraded to a Deluxe room, a two tier upgrade as we wanted for you and your husband to be comfortable and away from the rooms which were being upgraded. As you were accorded a room with French windows opening to the courtyard, the rain would inevitably leak in if the window shutters were not closed tightly. The staff had gone all out to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We apologise if there was any inconvenience caused to you.

Tacky, not artsy. I don't see value for money. Yes staff is friendly (wouldn't order a grab btw), but that doesn't change facts: room I was given only had window to the room with the coffee/ tea stand where staff and people pass and sometimes hang out. There is noise all the time and at night you can hear the bar next door. Room itself is tiny. Worst part was breakfast, I've never seen such dirty plates in a hotel. There were other food hygiene and safety issues. I skipped breakfast altogether out of disgust. Avoid

We would like to apologise that the commissioned artwork in the room which was reserved for you is not to your liking. However we believe that taste for artwork is rather personal and subjective and the local artist is in fact an award winning artist and an art teacher at schools. As for breakfast there is a corner for clean plates and cutlery for guests. We are sorry that the signages were not clearer and that you have seen the used plates/ cutleries after the other guests' usage. As for the room size, we noticed that you had booked the superior room and that was the last available room as we were fully booked. May we offer you a free stay in our other category so that you may have a better hotel stay experience? Our apologies once again.
