Conveniently situated with an easy walk from Aljunied MRT - only a few stops from the airport. Plenty of food options a few minutes from the hotel.

I think overall the property itself was not bad. It is clean, and the staff were friendly towards me in their communication. But given that the hotel is in Geylang, and in a very particular area of Geylang, it definitely is not family friendly. There are pimps outside across the street, and the hotel is used by customers (majority men) using the hotel not for overnight stays, but a few hours at a time, sometimes as short as 1.5 hours. What ultimately made me decide to leave this review was I was disappointed with the way some of the guests were being treated by hotel staff. By these guests meaning people obviously not looking for paid sex. The interactions to me, felt very disrespectful. Overall, my room was fine, it was clean. Got stared at by a lot of men, on the streets outside. If I have to pick a Hotel 81 again, it wont be the same one. Definitely in a different location.
