Convenient location, only a short walk from Somerset MRT which in turn is well connected to other major stations across Singapore. Massive shopping centre only one station away. Friendly staff. Breakfast ok, continental style, slightly limited choices but good overall. Clean room. HGC is a good choice for short term stays and for anyone looking for convenient location.

This hotel was rated as 4 star. It was perfectly adequate for a 3 star, but not 4. Our first room (double) was very small and overlooked (probably 30 feet) by the hotel next door, which meant the room was dark. We changed room with no fuss. The breakfast offer was functional at best. However, the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Poor upkeep - even the pool area garden was engulfed in weeds. The "sustainable" water feature is hard to use and they only give you tiny glasses that overflow at even the lowest setting. The beds are comfortable, though.
