"This resort is great! We come to Door County ever year and we’ve been here several years ago when the kids were young and it was fantastic but it’s usually booked as I wait to look. But this year we managed to get in and it’s as great as it ever was. They have so many amenities and they are all so clean and well thought out. We love the indoor pool. I’m a big baby when it comes to cold pools and this one is seriously amazing. I can actually go in and stay in. The hot tub is huge and feels great as we usually do a race while in DC. It’s a slight bit hot maybe but better than not enough. We didn’t use the outdoor pool as it was too chilly out but they have fire pits and chairs and light and just looks really inviting. You can rent bikes, there’s a playland area for the little ones and they have a little shop by reception if you forgot anything. The rooms are great and have everything you need. There is a full kitchen and a warm fireplace. The balcony/porch is nice for an early morning coffee. The grocery store is minutes away. I almost don’t want to give this gemstone away. We are so glad we got in to Newport. Definitely will return if we can."
"A beautifully-maintained property with lovely spring plantings underway during our visit in preparation for the summer visitors. The rooms are set back enough from the highway so you really don't hear any traffic in the night; moreover, this is a sleepy Door County corridor so I can't imagine it's ever a loud, super highway cacophony.... ever! Most memorable? The well-appointed kitchen with every gadget, cooking and serving tool you might require. Highly recommended location as well, somewhat half way up the peninsula for easy day trips north to Gills Rock/Newport State Park or Washington Island, or south to Egg Harbor or Sturgeon Bay. Not to mention only a few miles from the entrance to Peninsula State Park. Would highly recommend downloading the app ":Merlin" to learn about the bird song in the park. We were astounded by the variety of birds, including scarlet tanagers, even an indigo bunting who came within a few feet! All in all, a highly recommended hotel for so many reasons!"
"Beautiful resort set back from the main road in Sister Bay. Comfortable and very large rooms with a balcony view of the lake. Float in the pool and hot tub while looking at vibrant gardens and trees. Very quiet as adult resort."
"We walked to many locations adjacent to the motel. On Deck across the street is a fabulous clothing store, the Bowling Alley has terrific specials for dinner every day, Hsbys has delicious hamburgers, and All Johnson’s is a two block walk. Don’t forget Bargains Unlimited consignment around the corner. Love the location. Our favorite Door County stay."
