"This was one of our favorite favourite stays on our Ring Road trip. The hotel is a historical landmark and you can tell that the staff is proud of it. The front desk staff person was super friendly and helpful as was the restaurant staff. We were very lucky to be upgraded to a suite by the water outside of the main hotel due to our Expedia platinum status. It was an absolutely wonderful space!
We had an excellent dinner at the restaurant - also one of the best during our trip. The burrata appy was incredible! And there is a complimentary breakfast buffet - the first and only complimentary buffet on the trip and it was also excellent. Overall, we are so glad we chose Hotel Blonduos. Thanks to the hotel team for a memorable stay!"
"We could check-in early. The staff was helpful. Amazing kitchen with amenities and cooking needs. Good laundry facilities. The owner met with us and we had a nice chat. Great location to stay between Akureyri and Reykjavik."
"A mid 70's style apt. with all the amenities. Furnished. Quiet, peaceful old village on the seaside. Owner was accessible by phone. Good WIFI, no access to tv but apps work."
"Very friendly hotel. Lovely Scottish lady carried our bags upstairs and made us drinks with chocolates when we came in after dinner.
Cosy room and best beds ever!!!
Bathroom cold and a bit old fashioned looking. Needs renovating.
We ate at Sauda in the town as the restaurant wasn’t open. It was very nice.
Good breakfast. Lots of parking."
"We got there after midnight and were afraid we couldn't get in. We called the number on the door and got instructions to get in a room. It was clean and well-supplied. We had access to a full kitchen and only saw 2 other people. It was a quick stop, but exactly what we needed!"
