Plan a holiday in Skanor and enjoy seaside pursuits, colourful beach huts and a gorgeous old harbour. If you like to chill on the beach, this is the place for you.

The beaches in Skanor are some of Sweden's most visited during the summer months. Sweden might not be known as a beach destination, but the fine white sand and the crystal clear waters here mean Skanor more than deserves its reputation as Sweden's Riviera. If you don't just want to sit on the beach, you can get the adrenalin pumping with a spot of kite surfing. Away from the beach, enjoy the pretty little town centre which is great for a leisurely stroll.

Skanor is situated on the Falsterbo Peninsula and was its own town until the 1960s. It then merged with Falsterbo and today it is officially referred to as Skanor Falsterbo. The border between the two towns is made up of an old wall made of seaweed that was used instead of a fence.

Go for a walk through Flommens Nature Reserve and Karleksstigen (the love path), between Skanor and Falsterbo, or practice your swing at the close by Flommens Golf Club. Take a stroll around the marina Skanors Hamn and have lunch at one of the cosy restaurants or cafés here. Afterwards, for the brave awaits a dip in the sea at Skanors Havsbad right next door, and the rest of you can just sunbathe in the sand or on the smooth rocks. For a change of scenery, take a walk through Central Skanor with its picturesque houses that have been renovated but well conserved in line with their former beauty.

Skanor is often thought of amongst Swedes as a summer paradise, and it's perfect for everyone who enjoys sun, sea and beautiful nature. An array of paths and hiking trails transport you around this stunning place in Southern Sweden. The trail Karleksstigen connects Skanor with Falsterbo and consists of 1.7km of easy terrain.

You can fly to the international Malmo Airport, which is only 40minutes from Skanor by car. While in town it's easy to get around using local public transport.

Once a year the popular Falsterbo Horse Show attracts horse lovers from all over the world to the area. A holiday in Skanor Falsterbo is not to be missed for anyone interested in southern Sweden.
