"I travel a lot for work and this is by far one of the best places I have stayed"

"Beautiful setting with excellent biodiversity. Cabin itself is dated. Given that it’s on a fish farm it’s probably great as a base for fishing but wasn’t the best cabin I’ve booked for a family trip with two small children."

"Great stay for 1 night when heading south."

"What a lovely place to stay. The owners are going above and beyond and make the best breakfest ever!"

"Lovely big clean room . Very noisy in the am though with people slamming doors ( there was a coach party staying) ."

"Clean and comfortable historic inn with fabulous staff and tasty food. I will definitely stay again when I’m in the area. Thank you!"

"Rustic setting but not remote, excellent food, lovely staff,"

"Clean, comfortable, relatively quiet and at a great price. Staff were very friendly and helpful."

"Excellent property….vey well managed, beautifully presented, very clean and functional. Staff were extraordinary with a particular shout out to Mel who went above and beyond to make us welcome and is a beautiful cook as well. I would not hesitate to highly recommend this property. 5 stars is not enough."

"Very friendly hosts Spotlessly clean room Very good breakfast"

"I wasn't provided with check in instructions, so when I arrived I felt a bit lost. I asked inside Greggs and Subway, they informed me that I had to go to the petrol station to collect my room key, it was smooth from there. Room was clean and tidy. Bathroom needed a little TLC, cracks on the bath, ceiling, marks on the floor. Had free WiFi, TV, and tea / coffee facilities. Bed was comfy and clean. Good value for money. Would stay again as very convenient for short trip"

"Nice quiet location. Ample parking. Cozy and clean room. Handy local pub, shop and butchers across the road. Good freshly cooked breakfast."

"This was our third visit to the Fisherman's Cot and the first time for an overnight stay. There is a good selection of food at reasonable prices and very good breakfast. Staff were friendly and polite. We stayed in an annex which was OK but the outside fabric of the building is in need of renovation. Room was fine and clean, although bath panel was heavily water damaged. There is scope to improve decor (pictures on the wall for example) to give a more homely feel"

"Nice location and property"

"Super easy from Exeter airport. A few minutes walk and easy to let myself in with the key code. Quiet, clean room. Would definitely stay again. Value for money."

"Great breakfast and staff"

"Lovely room and stay, great breakfast, very accommodating."

"For the price can't complain as you also get free parking. The room was clean and tidy with clear instructions as to how to access the room key. The restaurant is dog friendly also and food delicious. Just bear in mind it can be noisy in the room until the restaurant closes but not a massive issue."

"Great hotel, my room was small, but the hotel is in the center of town and that worked for me. The waiting staff were great and helpful and stopped for chats as I was travelling/eating on my own."
