"We were here for 1 night arriving during the air traffic control issue and this was a stop over for Eurostar. So limited exposure. The room we had was fine, it was clean but is well worn, you can see it in everything. Bed was comfy and for the few hours we were there it was fine, i wouldn't want to stay for any longer. The real downside is the local area it is horrific and i don't think that even does it justice. I'm not one to feel intimidated but this is bad gangs of men/youths hanging...

"The vibe of this place is incredible. Every individual on staff was friendly and engaging, and mostly multilingual. I arrived early & they locked my bags away. It is the kind of lobby you could just hang out in. Nice coffee bar w/fresh pastries in the lobby. There's also a full bar. The music was upbeat and cool (soul, reggae, lofi rock & jazz). I would later learn that that is exactly what people do. The furniture was inviting and the lighting was great too. Every time I walked in the front door, I relaxed. Cantina Valentina had generous portions and delicious flavors. The restaurant staff was as welcoming and helpful as the front desk and the lobby bar. The room was perfect for a solo traveler/couple with a fluffy queen-sized bed and an enormous shower with excellent temp and pressure. Everything (electricity, gadgets, lighting, water, etc.) worked great. The style was laid back with even a tribute to the old building in the room by exposing some concrete beams. Wifi was strong throughout the building. I don't have any complaints. I will look for a Hoxton in every city I visit, hoping they all share the vibrancy and down-to-earth energy of the one in Brussels. The location is good. There's a part on the backside of the train station that is a little sketchy (sex shops, grimy) but its a short block. The hotel is adjacent to two wonderful parks. It is a relatively flat, 20-min walk to Grand Place"
