"The bed sheets were not clean. Covered in both human and dog hair. Room was freezing. Looks to be an old converted shed sitting in a concrete pad. It was 5 degrees outside and we had a constant draft through the doors, windows, and cold air emitting straight from the floor. The home is old, which is no issue. The Lodge at Mammoth Cave

8/10 Good

"Being part of the park was good. We enjoyed the paved walking trails and the hiking trails for more experienced people. Also liked that there were some trails designated for wheelchairs. The only draw back was the amount of construction happening during our trip. Advanced notice of it would have been appreciated, as some of the trails and roads were closed. The construction of new cabins will be a good addition as lodging sells out quickly, but the negative with those is that they look more modern and gives the appearance that the lodge rooms and historic cottages look overly run down. We stayed in one of the lodge rooms which was sufficient for us, we had a very hard time getting used to the mattresses in the room, they were very uncomfortable. Loved being off the grid for most of our trip."

Everhome Suites Bowling Green by Choice Hotels

10/10 Excellent

"The hotel was perfect for our quick trip to Kentucky. The hotel was VERY clean and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The hotel is located in a safe area close to restaurants and a grocery store. We will definitely stay here again!"
