"I checked in, went to my room - door was open, mattress bare, sheets piled onto a chair, trash full with empty case of beer, obviously room was never cleaned or prepared. Went back to front desk, no apology from them, fortunately a different room was clean, prepped and readily available for me. Will never stay here again."
"Truly a historic building with a warm and cozy atmosphere. Staff is very friendly. Indoor pool is large and clean. Outdoor pool was not open yet but looks wonderful. The view of Union City in the valley below was so pretty. We were upgraded from a standard queen room to a king, which was a pleasant surprise.
Lobby has a large fireplace and great staircase. We enjoyed playing a couple of games of chess there, accompanied by a drink from the bar.
Hotel is older and may lack a few things but it did not hamper our stay. For instance, a coffee machine in the room would be nice. Or, additional hooks/towelbars in the bathroom. And, a nightlight in the bathroom!
We only dined at the hotel restaurant the first night out of convenience. There are a lot of other restaurants in the vincinity.
Location of hotel is convenient. Close to the caverns, Fort Necessity battlefield, the Frank Lloyd Wright houses, trails in Ohiopyle State Park.

8/10 Good
"Nothing special. Breakfast was good, the lady at check in was super nice. Sheets and comforter were dirty & housekeeping randomly let herself into our room at 8 am unannounced. The whole place is kinda dated for the price, but every hotel in the area that was cheaper had many reviews about bed bugs, so it was worth paying more to not deal with that can of worms… "
"We arrived around 11 pm ant the room was about 100 degrees hot. Everything in the room was hot to the touch. The heat was on and AC did not worked.. Asked the front desk to change the room and she stated there is no room available but we are free to leave and find another hotel. Took half an hour for her to come up to come up and confirm the AC was not working. Since we were too tired after long drive decided to stay and later regretted as we could not sleep in the hot room. Unexpectedly bad experience for a Marriott brand."
