"Odor of smoke even though it’s supposed to be smoke-free environment"

"First room, key card did not work. Back to office. While waiting, noticed outside was dirty, garbage all around. including lots of cigarette butts. Desk clerk came to help. He also could not get room door to open. Gave us another room. Dead bugs in bathroom. Huge, old fashioned jetted tub, too high for this senior with arthritic knees to get into. Towels were threadbare. No facecloths. Telephone on night table was obviously just for show as it did not work (tried to call front desk). Absolutely NO Wifi, never once connected during our stay!!"

"This hotel is not good. It’s under construction, which was not disclosed in the Expedia listing. The hot tub is not working, even though we called ahead to check and make sure it was working before we booked this hotel and were told it was working. The pool was not heated either. The hotel did not have a lobby bathroom, but they let us into the workout room (which was under construction to use a toilet, but the bathroom had no door). We got a room on the third floor and the hotel has paint chips, stained carpets, taped transitions, and dated interior. Our hotel room had a bad smell and the TV did not work. Called the front desk to ask about the TV but no one answered. Woke up the next day to construction noise. I tried to get ready for the day, but the shower did not work. I called the front desk again and we got moved to another room, which had a very small TV (it worked though) but the shower leaked all over the bathroom floor and the toilet seat did not fit properly and pinched my leg, plus this room also had a bad odor. I went to the front desk to ask for a refund so we could move to a new hotel but was denied. Do not stay here -- it's under construction, the rooms are terrible, and they are not nice. "

"We arrived one hour and fifteen minutes early and was hoping to be able to check in early. We had an event to attend within the hour but we're told if we wanted to check-in early would have to pay an extra $30.00. It would not have been a big deal if we were told this when made the reservation. "
