"We have nothing but praise for Hotel Waldmann and its staff! Everyone was friendly and helpful at all times. We were particularly grateful for all the advice and recommendations we got at check in. The room (apartment with balcony) was very comfortable and clean, and had an absolutely cracking (and unexpected) view of the two castles. My daughters loved the outdoor space, playing on the trampoline, table tennis and football. Breakfast was incredible. The homemade jams were absolutely delicious and staff prepared your choice of eggs fresh for you. We had been a little worried about being outside Füssen as we had no car. However, the location was perfect. There are local buses and actually Füssen, the castles and the lakes are all very walkable. We even walked back from Tegelberg as there was a beautiful path! My partner also hired a bike a couple of times which was excellent. We ate at their restaurant a number of times too and the food was excellent quality. Plenty of choice and a daily special as well. We rarely return to previous destinations on holiday but we will be back in Bavaria and we will absolutely return to Waldmann Hotel!"

"I was traveling with my husband and our two teenage sons. We only stayed at this hotel for one night but I would have happily stayed longer. The four of us had plenty of space and the room was clean. There was AC and it was quiet. It was a 2 min walk from the station which was very convenient. The best part was the breakfast. They had a juicer so you could make fresh juice, coffee machines with multiple options, different teas etc. for food there were different pastries and breads with several jams and honey. They had hot foods - fried eggs, scrambled eggs, meats, crepes, pancakes. They had cereals and yogurts. They even had a chocolate fountain with bananas and strawberries which our sons took full advantage of. Would stay here again and would recommend."

"The hotel was in an excellent location and the staff, particularly Dami (?), was very kind and helpful. The breakfast offerings were unbelievable--definitely take advantage of that. Also, make sure to take a bike to the castle. It's a lovely bike ride and easier to manage. Just really pay attention to the warnings to get there 1.5-2 hours in advance. The grounds were well kept and had a lovely view of the castle. The only thing that was a bit hard to figure out were the spa facilities and how to use them. An orientation could be helpful."

"The location was perfectly located for walking to & from both castles. I’m 72 and had no issues walking, although it is uphill. I had no trekking poles and rested as needed. Our room was #103 and the room had an acceptable view of the bigger castle (or as we called it, Castle N) The free breakfast was great and also had a view. What was exceptional was the helpful guide to the area in English. The front desk made reservations for dinner. The down side: restaurant’s close around 8 pm so plan accordingly. I paid for the city tax and the snacks eaten the night before we left. I could not get a free bus pass until we turned in the room key and since we had to catch the early train, when I asked for the pass at 7:00 a.m. the people (breakfast helpers) had no idea that I had already paid and no idea where the bus passes were. So, we had to pay for 3 people, about 9 euros. So if this scenario fits you, make sure the receptionist leaves the bus passes for you to get the next morning. We were allowed to breakfast early which was very kindly of them."

"The hotel was situated in the middle of the main square/street close to everything. Room was nice and breakfast was good. The restaurant was excellent, best place in town. The location was convenient close to the castle and train station, where you catch the bus to Neuschwanstein. I highly recommend staying here."
