"We arranged our stay at the last minute whilst travelling south. However, the owners were more than prepared for our stay. They both greeted us and asked if we would require an evening meal which we did. They were able to join us for a drink before serving the MOST delicious four course meal from locally sourced produce (including from their own garden) and wine at a very reasonable price. "Overall our stay was really good. The staff were really helpful and the food excellent and good value for money. The only downside was our room smelt of smoke. There were no other rooms available, and the staff were very apologetic and gave us a room spray, but the smell persisted."

"This hotel is ideally situated half way down through France. A very useful overnight stop if you are travelling further south. The staff are helpful and the rooms are clean. Not a huge room, but enough space for two people to share. There is a Camponile Inn on the same campus, which serves meals, or if you prefer a hamburger & chips, there's a Buffalo Grill about 150 yards down the road. We've stayed overnight here on many occasions as we've travelled from Calais to the south coast of France and have never had a bad experience."

"Our accommodations at Hotel St. Regis were good and provided us a perfect location to walk to and see the finish of Stage 12 of the 2026 Tour de France. Classic French building in the heart of Chalon-sur-Saone. Air conditioner was a little weak but we did what the locals do and opened the large floor to ceiling windows and that kept us comfortable for the night in spite of the ongoing heatwave. The hotel is on a busy street but is in walking distance of several plazas, the canal, and many restaurants. Also, there is dedicated and secured parking just a block from the hotel. If your travel plans include Chalon-sur-Saone, you should consider a stay in Hotel St. Regis!"

"A comfortable and fairly convenient option in Chalon-sur-Saone, The main restaurant areas are closer to the river so a bit of a walk, the staff were all very nice and the room was functional (no view, no frills) but clean and the bed was comfortable."
