"An exceptional place—we decided to stay an additional day at Moinho do Maneio, canceling a night in the Douro Valley, because we loved the place and its surroundings so much. Anabela and her husband have created such a special retreat, truly a welcome respite after traveling through the busy cities of Madrid and Seville. "The hotel opened less than a year ago and offers spotless accommodations. It's decorated in a modern fashion and very tastefully. We arrived after a rather long car trip and had no energy to drive to town to find a restaurant for dinner. They prepared vegetable soup, bread, cheeses, jams, and fruits for us, all of the best quality you can see, and all prepared at the property with ingredients from the property. All in all and excellent experience to be repeated."

"Lovely, clean, peaceful. And the staff were incredible - we left before breakfast, and they packed us fresh pastries to take with us. They met us at the counter with them at the crack of dawn. What a wonderful experience."

Great hotel

"Our stay at the hotel was great ,the staff were very approachable and could not help enough. We had meals in the restaurant on both nights and the food was excellent. Must mention our waiter on both nights he was excellent his Name was Samuel great character. The hotel is a great location if you're traveling down from santander to the algarve for a stop over. "

"Everything was wonderful ! Love the amount of pools and jacuzzi they have on first and second floor. The view from the room was amazing ! Few things need to be mentioned for all travelers : #1. They don’t have a bus or taxi service so if you need a ride need to call taxi ! #2. Mondays restaurant is closed so you only able to have sandwich ( nothing too fancy) and you can get drinks at bar ( huge plus). #3. If you reserve a room you get access to the spa , however , they charge 5 euros for hair cover to get into the water and keep an eye on your towel ; if you don’t bring the spa towel you will get charged for 30 euros at check out!! Someone stole mine so I didn’t know there’s a charge , therefore , just fyi . Finally, you can get breakfast in bed delivered ( no extra charge ) . Overall , worth money and worth time spent . 1out 5 I would give 4.5 star because few things mentioned. "
