Independent, South Central Nevada hotels

"04/23/26. Spent one night at Virgin River Resort. OK place, very large area. Biggest issue is NO elevators to 2nd or 4rd floors. Clean room, hot water, cold aircon, good price and reasonable parking available. Check in and out was smooth and efficient."

"We were traveling through and stayed one night. The room itself was completely new. Everything from the carpet, furniture, and paint. The mattresses and pillows were really comfortable. I'm not sure every room has been updated, but ours was. The food was really good, and the people were friendly. We will stay again."

"Absolutely fantastic. The grounds are so beautiful, truly an oasis. The staff were professional but laid back. We felt like we had the place to ourselves. The whole resort was immaculately clean. The Casita provided everything we needed as a family of 3. Our child loved the heated pool. Gorgeous tile work everywhere gave it a sense of place and time, not just another chain hotel. Also loved the historic lodge feel of the main house, and all the historic photos of the area, the copper paneled elevator, the library. Would absolutely return. The only notes I have are: no hand soap provided in bathroom, no espresso offered at breakfast, low water pressure in the shower (but it is in the desert, so that is understandable.)"

"Older “haunted” historic hotel, although we saw no ghosties. We stayed in the Wyatt Earp room with a wagon bed - very unique. Place was clean and there was a restaurant and bar in the hotel. Really fun stay!"

"Everyone was incredibly helpful, giving me trail recommendations, extra ice water for the road and great music in the bar. Had a wonderful trip! View from balcony was worth the upgrade!!"
