"Very walkable spot for downtown and the harbor area. Todd was amazing and went above and beyond to make sure everyone was accommodated and everything was running smoothly! He is outstanding and could not be more helpful and welcoming! Made to order breakfast was delicious. Happy hour drinks and snacks were great. Only downside was our bathroom/shower situation was very tiny and tight and lots of street noise at night. However, if we could get a different room we would absolutely stay here again. Thank you Todd! "

"Patio, hottub, lakeview The view of the lake was amazing the swimming area was closed off the entire time we were there unfortunately. The only thing that is weird is the parking lot is very small and if alot of cars are there you may get stuck depending on where you park "

"The place is really fun to stay at. The rooms aren’t just clean they are noticeably clean. It’s the first thing to notice and feel. Perfect view of the river, and friendly staff. The furniture is older compared to modern hotels, but it’s all great condition. "

"Perfect hotel for me, my partner, and dog! Other hotels and airbnbs in the area were extra expensive and/or not pet-friendly due to LDW, and we didn’t want to spend $1,000+ for just a 3-night stay. If you’re looking for a hotel that’s affordable, perfectly located, has a lot of outdoor activities, very dog friendly, and a midwest/vintage charm, Sun & Sand is a great choice. While the rooms are a bit outdated, they were clean and well-kept. The bathroom was especially clean. Some of these reviews scared us, so we brought our own bedding just in case the rooms were as bad as some people said. They were not bad at all. The hotel bedding was also fine — clean and fresh. The room was also not “super small.” It was the perfect size for the three of us, one suitcase, duffle bag, and 2 totes. The only con was that the plumbing in the shower was a bit clogged so the water took a very long time to drain. The mattress was also a bit too soft for our liking, but we slept well. We also enjoyed how family friendly the hotel was. Lots of people outside grilling, laying by the pool, playing corn hole or just relaxing. Great vibes overall!"
