It's location makes it a great base to explore the Queenstown area. Lying just outside Arrowtown means easy access/choices for dinner. But dining options within the resort grounds are already very good. A short a scenic drive along Lake Hayes from Queenstown means we could still enjoy the surrounding lakes, though not from our room :). Our favorite accommodation for our 12 day South Island self drive trip. Beautiful, well maintained and landscaped grounds. Unreservedly a world class resort....

Nice quiet hotel very near the airport with plenty of parking spaces.

I love the beautiful ambience, the friendly international staff, distance is convenience to snowboard at Cardrona (15 mins from hotel to Cardrona Ski field) and most of all, the bed and pillows are so comfortable! I will definitely stay here again for the next snowboard season in NZ.

Suited our needs well. The only grumble I have is that there are 2 separate taps for cold and hot water instead of 1 combined so that you can regulate the temperature of the water. Otherwise, it is a lovely place.

The room was clean and location of hotel is good, in a quiet location and not far from city. Bus 8 taken from bus stop opposite Botanic garden goes to the Gondola easily. Walkable to punting location. Very short distance to great restaurant - The Goldfinch.

We had a fantastic stay. The stylish fit-out, extremely comfortable bed, and friendly, helpful staff made our visit very enjoyable. We will definitely stay here again.

The staff were very helpful and warm. The room was well designed w a partial view of the sea and great view of the snow capped mountains. It felt like a home away from home. It was a bit of a walk but very accessible to the Kaikuora town with lots of food and activity options. The breakfast buffet was very well curated and the restaurant was well situated to catch the sun rise. Well worth the money!

The Hotel is AH-MAZINGGGG! Everything is clean n proper! The ammenities are so good! Checked with an infant & they provide us baby ammenities like baby tub towels & baby bath dried flowers to soothe our baby!!! Never have i ever got this from any high end hotel! Thank u sudima! Definately will return again! Their food menu is delicious too! & helpful staff!!!

During our 7-day stay, waking up each morning to see the sunlight hitting Deer Park Heights across the lake was a highlight. The rooms are clean and spacious, and the atmosphere is quite peaceful. While the location is a bit outside the town center, the hotel provides a very convenient and punctual hourly shuttle. Very clean and spacious room and bathrooms. Great comfortable bed and pillows. Friendly staff at the reception counter and restaurant. Special thanks to Gin (reception) who helped with dinner recommendation and reservation at Tutto Bene and Patrick at the restaurant who welcomed and looked after us during breakfast. If I visit Christchurch I will definitely return to Hotel Montreal.
