"We had a wonderful stay and would stay here again. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. The valet and cleaning crew were amazing! We upgraded to get access to the voyager 47 club. It was very convenient for our family and had a great experience each time as well. I do recommend it but ask them for clarification on the pricing and extra fees because the fees have fees and I was not aware of that until we got home. Regardless it was a great comfortable stay with so many amenities. It was walking distance to all the water activities that we did such as the day snorkeling and night manta ray snorkeling. Definitely recommend trying that! We also attended the luao here which the food was amazing! The show and entertainment was great too! Worth booking here!"
"Room was still being cleaned when we checked in. Mop was very old and dingy and smelly.
I wouldn’t have booked here if I knew there was no A/C.
Run down and dirty"
"This hotel is more than its excellent views, oceanside restaurant, incredible staff, and close proximity to downtown’s vibrant life.
This is a place where I did not feel like a tourist. I felt like someone who belonged.
There is nothing artificial about this place. Everything feels authentic, wholehearted, well-meaning, and genuinely welcoming. I never feel like I am simply checking in when I come here. I feel like I am stopping by somewhere my face is remembered after only a two-day visit — and where the prices are just as welcoming.
In a world where so many places feel designed only to impress, this one somehow manages to feel human first. That is rare, and it is something people remember long after the ocean view fades into memory."
Courtyard by Marriott King Kamehameha's Kona Beach Hotel
6/10 Okay
"The hotel is dated and need full renovation.
The location is good but in some areas they allow outside people to use the amenities.
I had a late fight leaving Kona 9:55pm and asked for a possible extension of my stay willing to pay additional charge for the extra hours.
Basically they said they were totally booked so I need to pay full day charge to stay an extra 5 hours in my room. It was a rip-off!
Then, I found out that the hotel was not fully booked like they said.
Front desk staff was not friendly.
Also, they wrongly charged me $73.30 for a restaurant meal. Trying to contact them, but nobody call me back.
Daily rate too high for what you are getting back.
