"We had a very disappointing stay at this hotel and have yet to hear back from a Manager regarding the numerous complaints we had with the service experienced. To begin with, I will note the positives: Clean room Friendly staff Beautiful views Now the negatives: Upon checking into our room at 7pm (following a telephone conversation had earlier in the morning regarding our children and dog joining us) we discovered that the extra beds were not in our room ready for our children to sleep on. The next morning I reported to reception about being awoken early due to water pipes rumbling to which I was told nobody had mentioned about before. No offer to move. Having ordered Lunch, our one childs meal was left off the order and he was left waiting. For evening Dinner, we were informed the hotel were short staffed and so could not offer the pizzas advertised on their website. This made things difficult for us having had lunch there earlier and our children having to choose from the same menu. Drinks arrived late, so we turned them away when they eventually arrived thinking that we would go elsewhere for dinner. This was on a Sunday, on my Birthday, and we had little choice but to stay as locally not much was open/and only serving roast dinners. We ordered dinner, to find that our puddings were now missed off and so we had to chase. Throughout the staff were friendly, but not very professional or offering a good service. My 2 separate complaints fell on deaf ears it would seem."

"Accomodation was perfect. A hidden gem. Sunday Roast is amazing. Breakfast freshly cooked to order. Will definitely use the Coach & Horses at Rosugeon again. "

"Absolutely beautiful family set of rooms, stunning view of St Michael’s Mount, w causeway right outside. Unfortunately, windows covered w scaffolding and workmen starting on our 2nd day, making bathroom without curtains unusable. Reception unhelpful (blamed property company) until the last day of our complaining when they offered a small discount on our stay (but still didn’t cover window). Although we received notice a week or two before our stay that this was happening, that doesn’t really describe how drastic a problem this was for our room. Drilling, hammering, curtains closed all day and men on roof next to another bedroom working on the building exterior. Should have been called and compensated fairly if we kept that room (11). Going on for 6 weeks, reportedly. Mainly affects beach-facing rooms (some face road, those likely fine). The restaurant attached is very nice, short staffed during our stay, but great dinner, good breakfasts (hot and cold included), sometimes a longish wait. Had to wait to be seated one morning bc they were still cleaning dining room from prior night. Have to make dinner reservations for weekends, many on Sunday turned away (including us) bc kitchen reportedly overwhelmed. Also has outdoor seating near beach, and downstairs bar/food area when busy. Parking free if you book direct, we had to use long term lot a couple blocks away through Expedia but safe. Hospitality, overall, not great but place itself is beautiful."

"Loved our stay. Food was amazing but the service in the evening in the bistro was very very very slow. 30 minutes to get our first cocktail and 1 hour for our first course. Was not crowded 😳"

"The Victoria Inn was a delight to stay in with spacious room ,fresh decor and beds were lovely . Landlady was a charm , most friendly and breakfast exceptional. Overall would total stay again as the wonderful sleep and proximity to St Michaels Mount . "

"A little gem. A small local pub with 2 rooms above. I don’t usually leave reviews, but felt I really should on this occasion. The staff, all of them, were welcoming and friendly. We ate in the pub on 2 occasions and food was absolutely superb. It’s a small menu but everything was delicious. Room was spotless and clearly thought had gone into the decor. There is no on-site parking but there is plenty of parking on nearby roads. The village itself is pretty, and central to many of the attractions in south Cornwall. This is how it should be done. "
