"Breakfast was good. Somehow first place in New England with bacon for breakfast at a hotel so congrats on that!
Got incorrect room when I arrived. Should have been king deluxe but somehow expedia had sent for it to be a normal king room. I needed the sofa bed but normal king does not have sofa. He was able to move me to a double queen so no big deal really. Just an odd situation.
Water in shower was luke warm at best. Better then a cold shower for sure but could look in to it."
"The room looked great, but had that old smoking hotel smell. Once the AC was turned on for a bit, the smell cleared up. Nice finishes (granite and chrome) and linens (sheets were a comfy breathable percale). Bed and pillows were comfy. The view from the shared balcony was lovely over the lake, however, the screen had no latch so no sleeping with the door ajar. The room could have been cleaned better. Our socks let us know that the floor was dirty, nooks and corners needed attention. Plenty of parking. Didn't have much staff interaction. The breakfast was gone by 9:15. For what we needed - a place to lay our heads at night - this worked fine. It looks like much work has gone into trying to make this a nice hotel, Just needs a little fine tuning."
"Reasonably priced room that was very clean, staff was helpful and friendly, coin operated washer/dryer was available, Would stay here again if passing through."
Publick House Historic Inn and Country Motor Lodge
10/10 Excellent
"We stayed here for a week. We had adjoining rooms which was really nice for our two families with children. The salt water pool was awesome. The restaurant food was good but we didn't realize it until the last day. The rooms were in the older building but beds comfortable. I would stay here again if I needed to. Disappointed a refrigerator was not in the room but I was able to rent one for $15, so it worked out ok."
"This was a great hotel for our UConn visit. The furnishings and decor were very fun and UConn themed. The staff were very nice. We would definitely stay there again."
