"Overall we had a wonderful time on our vacation. Unfortunately the moment we stepped foot into Ameristar we had road bumps. The parking garage and elevators were very dirty with trash everywhere. When we went to go check in they only had one staff member to assist. When we asked to check in they said it would be an early check in of $25 it was 1:50pm. But if we waited until 2pm it would be no charge. When we finally did check in they said we had to pay the full balance of our stay. Even with showing them my booking and that it had been paid in advance. We had to pay again. Thankful after a few minutes with a team member from Orbitz they got a hold of the Hotel and had the charges reversed.
The room was beautiful with some amazing views. Had a few issues with minor things with the room but housekeeping was able to resolve them each time.
Blackhawk is very laid back go with the flow, nothing happens quickly. So if you are looking for a slow pace vacation go.
Overall we will be back to stay at Blackhawk.
