Hotels with kitchenette in Southwest Missouri

"The staff was horrible all the way around. As we came in, we were lucky enough to get in early, my husband made a comment about having food ( which happened to be from our lunch leftovers) and the lady checking us in reprimanded us about not buying food before knowing if we could get into the room. Since we were "lucky" we were able to. Didn't think much about it, didn't say anything about it. Then we get to our room. We LOVED it, room 1604. It was clean it was updated and we were happy. However, when we turned down our bed to go to sleep. We found bugs in it. So we we called down to the front desk and the guy working didn't seem to care. My husband had to call twice and they finally sent security up to talk to us. They looked at everything, we wrote a statement, we were given new hotel keys and told the general area where the new room would be. Which was in a different building. We were roaming around, in the dark, looking for this building. When we finally found it. It was 12:00 at night. We walk in and the room is outdated, nasty carpets, run down furniture and dirty. We were so upset, we called back to the desk. The same guy told my husband that he couldn't do anything to help us further and said the manager would call us in the morning. Next morning front desk manager called. I told her about the bugs and about the room we were given and she didn't care. Not once did anyone apologize for the issues. Until we spoke to their GM. He was nice."

"Pros: the room was nice and clean and the view was nice. Cons: there is no sound proofing and because of that the people in the room above us, we could hear every faucet, toilet flush and most importantly them running around the room all night long, as in until 4am, leading to my husband and I barely getting any sleep. The room did have a musty natural gas smell upon arriving. And the bed/pillows were probably one of the least comfortable I have stayed on. Overall, the place had good amenities and our room did have a nice view of the lake, but because the whole purpose of sleeping was horrible I wouldn't stay again. "
