"They canceled our reservation the day before check in. Then called the day of check in and said they had a room. We stopped in and it was so dirty. Bugs all over the bathroom and in the room. Beds were a mattress on a metal base. They were only full size, not queen. We didn’t stay. "
"I didn't expect much so I wasn't too disappointed. Chose this place for: 1) dog friendly 2) location 3) price.
No breakfast, pool seems permanently closed, nothing extra at all. Not sure if they even had an ice machine honestly, we didn't look. There was a good sized little fridge in the room. We ate across the street and got drinks at the dollar store.
Very friendly staff. They seemed to be constantly cleaning because the laundry room was open all the time, with cleaning carts blocking the hallway to the parking lot, strong cleaning chemical smells, and i almost got hit in the head with a bucketful of soapy water that got dumped off the 2nd floor walkway into the parking lot next to my car where I was standing.
That being said, you'd think it would have been cleaner. Floors made my socks dirty just walking around, and tub wasnt fully clean. It's shabby and in disrepair- light fixtures hanging loose on the wall, bathroom door off the hinge - you could close it if you lifted it by the handle and shoved it, but it was sticky from too many layers of paint. Tile floors broken in the corners, no threshold transition peice between tile and vinyl plank so it was sharp. Big gaps at the ends of floorboards. A peice of 2x4 holding up the window frame outside the room.
Was given a wifi password but couldn't stay connected for more than a few minutes at a time, and definitely not play any video. I had to Slack my team from my phone and let them know i was offgrid Thursday and Friday."
"We weren't sure what to expect booking outside of a chain hotel. Room was attractively styled with numerous little touches that made it a delightful place to stay. Host was not on site when we arrived but made all the necessary arrangements via text message. She was very helpful. Would recommend this place to anyone traveling through the area."
