"Everything about our stay at the Boat House Hotel in Seaview was perfect. The room was lovely — spotless, comfortable, and full of character. You can tell a lot of care goes into keeping the hotel at such a high standard. The hospitality was second to none. The staff were genuinely warm, attentive, and couldn’t do enough for us. A special mention as my wife accidentally left her toiletry bag behind, and the hotel very kindly returned it to us in the post without any fuss at all — an incredibly thoughtful and much-appreciated gesture. We wouldn’t hesitate to highly recommend this hotel. Brilliant place, brilliant staff, and a truly faultless stay."

"No response to emails either direct to the pilot boat or via hotels.com; entry requirements not provided in advance and when provided were not the same as advertised. 2 promises to provide the door code by text were not fulfilled. Breakfast advertised but not provided. Room well supplied but cold on arrival and didn’t warm up until en of day 2. The bed was comfortable but we have stayed in previous years and the service is not as good now. "

"On arrival our room was upgraded to a large seaview room with a walk in shower which was a very nice welcome. The Pump room bar is excellent with a cozy atmosphere. The staff are friendly and attentive. The food both at breakfast and in the evening venues is top notch. Dining is a particular highlight which should not be missed with a very good menu expertly prepared and served to a really high standard. "

"Spacious off-street parking behind the hotel. A warm welcome and efficient staff. Clean, neat room and ensuite. Lots of hot water, soft towels. Comfortable bed. Nicely cooked breakfast with excellent eggs, bacon and toast, coffee and juice (other options available). Staff deserve a special commendation - there was an unexpected power cut in that part of town in the morning, but they managed to serve an excellent hot breakfast with no fuss or delays. Thank you!"
