"Our annual go-to hotel during Spring Break. We love the free shuttle service to/from PDX, which is less than 2 miles away. The rooms are always clean and stocked with 2 bottles of water, eco-friendly toiletries, coffee, a mini fridge, etc. Depending on your room selection during booking, breakfast may be provided daily from 6am to 10am. There are a variety of items to choose from: hot breakfast consisting of scrambled eggs, sausage patties, biscuits, & diced roasted potatoes. There are also 2 make-your-own waffle machines, assorted pastries and breads to toast, juices, yogurts, fruits, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, & condiments. A convenient amenity when you’re heading out early.
A BIG shoutout to Abigail for her excellent customer service! She is a joy - so friendly and helpful. There was an issue with our 2 reservations, but Abigail quickly researched the bookings and was able to resolve the problem. She definitely made a potentially stressful situation stress free! We would also like to recognize Bill. Over the last 7 years, Bill has either checked us in or out. Always with a cool and kind demeanor. True assets for Hampton Inn!"
Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Portland International Airport, OR
10/10 Excellent
"Breakfast was almost the same every day, but fresh. The staff was great loved the front desk ladies. Clean rooms and the airport shuttle has to be reserved prior to getting there or call as soon as you land. Easy to find the shuttle stop. Stayed 5 days and I loved it "
"The room was good, but the mattress could use replacement - sags a little. Not great water pressure. The gym only had one treadmill, which was broken. The front desk offered day passes to the gold's gym in the mall across the way. I took my mom to the restaurant - very fancy! No vegetarian protein available on the dinner menu (unless you count cheese). I had the pasta and my mom had the salmon and we both loved the dishes."
"The Paramount is right in the heart of downtown Portland. Within a block is shopping from Nordstrom, Pendleton, and Columbia as well as other designer labels. On both sides of the hotel’s (North and South) are parks. One is full of trees and lighting, the other a community space meant to connect others. Two blocks away is the pioneer square with transit to almost anywhere in town, local food trucks, and historic buildings. The Paramount has two restaurants on site, the Tavern serves up a mix of new American cuisine at affordable prices, and Swine delicious cocktails and small bites. Both can be charged to your room to come out of the deposit required ($75 per night) and the $10 daily credit. There’s coffee available outside in the lobby, and vending on multiple floors too. Their property is 15 stories high, yet the elevator is lightning fast. Within 20 seconds I was to my room, and ready to enter. Also, they take security seriously. Room keys required to use the elevator, and in the evening. The room was standard, had decently made furniture, a comfy king bed with many pillows, and came stock with shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, and hand soap. Lots of different lighting options in the room, means you can adjust to comfort. The blackout curtains darkened the room so sleep was easy. The only true downside to the hotel, is that there were no microwaves in room or traditional room service. Otherwise, it was a great stay in the heart of downtown. "
