"I reserved a room with a king size bed; upon checking in we were informed that the king rooms weren't cleaned so they were putting us in a queen/queen room....not what I wanted and reserved. Their idea of making it right was by giving on $10 credit for breakfast or dinner. We didn't eat either there so that didn't benefit us whatsoever. They also don't do daily housekeeping so keep your towels hung up! The television needs replacement; it had strange lights all over the screen. The room smelled musty. The vent in the bathroom was called in dust. The bathroom walls need cleaning. I don't think these are housekeeping issues; I think it's management not making sure the property is kept up. I love how the lobby smelled lovely but the room floors are musty. Move that scent upstairs! We unfortunately had a neighbor who talked LOUD on her phone all night so the walls are paper thin. It wasn't the worst experience but not the best either."
"Booked this for a mid-roadtrip stay. Hotel was very nice inside - room was clean and comfortable. Some frustrations: (1) room key didn't work so I had to go back down to front desk and get another one - not the end of the world but after a long day of travel was frustrating, and (2) Ordered food "to go" to eat in the room from the "restaurant" - really a bar with limited kitchen capabilities. Food not worth the price. My husband's shrimp dish was served in a styrofoam container with about 6 pieces of shrimp swimming in sauce - nothing else. My chicken Caesar was mostly lettuce with very little chicken. Part of the order was not handed to me when I went to pick it up so I had to make a return trip to the restaurant to get it. Again - not end of the world but definitely not what you want to have to deal with at the end of a long travel day. "
"Breakfast was good! Cheese omelets, egg patties, sausage patties, biscuits / gravy, fried potatoes, waffles, and all the normal extras (fruits, yogurts, toast/bagels, oatmeal/grits).
Room was very clean, surprisingly even the pull out sofa bed. Beds were firm, but comfortable & A/C got cold!!
The pool was closed most of the weekend, but when it did open it was dirty.
Felt safe in the location, was able to walk down the street at night without any issues."
"We had to change rooms 3 times which was aggravating.First room was full of water on the floor.Second room outside door wouldn't open. Finally the last room was good.Only other thing is I woke up to housekeeping in the room cleaning without announcing herself."
Americas Best Value Inn Denham Springs Baton Rouge
8/10 Good
"Everything good as it always has been.
Stayed there about 6 times over the years.
Only problem was the water line got cut and we were without for about an hour
NOT the hotel's fault but they got time estimates and kept us informed !"
