Beautiful Stay

We loved our stay. Room was beautiful and I loved all of the decorative touches. The bed was super comfortable and plush. We could walk to the Main Street very easily. The owners were lovely and made some great recommendations. I would stay here again if I was ever in St Andrews again.

The Montague Rose Inn is lovely. I stayed in the Juliette room and it was perfect / spacious, clean, tastefully decorated, and with a spacious, bright bathroom. The hosts were appropriately attentive to my needs and were very clear in their instructions for inhabiting their facility.

Ben and his family were lovely. We only stayed one night but this atmosphere is incredibly friendly. At end of our one evening we were chatting with many guest on their deck and comfortable seating. Their location is one street up from Water st in St Andrews the main hub of everything. Would definitely stay again and recommend.

This property exceeded our expectations. We live in Maine and had never been to St. Andrew’s. The town is idyllic. The Montague Rose Inn is gorgeous, and has so much character. The owners are remodeling the property on their own while raising their young family. They live on the property and are very friendly and helpful. We took our two small dogs, and were accommodated. This place is very charming and feels as if you are stepping back in time. You can walk anywhere in St. Andrew’s from here. We parked and didn’t get back in our vehicle until we checked out. It is on a very quiet street. We would definitely stay here again!

This house was very interesting and the owners are very nice and diligently restoring/maintaining much of the original character. There were some minor issues with the coffee appliances (tricky switches) and the refrigerator was not cold enough. Also we were unable to watch TV because the remote control batteries were dead and it was too late to call the owners. The cafe had very limited offerings, which was disappointing as we had hoped to breakfast there before we left for home. When we arrived, (after 9 pm) the owners told us that room that was readied for us was not dog friendly but although they made an exception for one night. They moved our room the next night. Clearly there are communication problems between Expedia and this Inn, as we were clear about needing a pet friendly accommodation with Expedia. That being said, our experience was generally positive and its location to the main attractions in the village is certainly a great selling point.

We absolutely loved our stay. The owners are so friendly and nice. Our room was beautiful and comfy. We stayed in The Capulet. I’ll definitely come back and would recommend it to friends to stay. It’s a short walk to the restaurants and shopping.

Beautiful place to stay!

Our stay was great! Ben was super helpful and very accommodating. We loved that they welcomed our 18 month granddaughter. She sure enjoyed! We did have issues with the keurig coffee and was not very good.
