Hawksbill Resort Antigua

10/10 Excellent

"If you love nature and greenery, then Hawsbill Resort is your place. The Resort is clean, the staff are very friendly and helpful (not easy to come by). The menu was a bit limiting, but overall was delicious. Make sure you book your reservation for the beachfront PD restaurant; the food was excellent. Wished they served the national dish. One of the biggest selling point of the resort is the free use of the non-motorized water sports ( cannot, paddle board) and easy payment to use the jet ski and boat ride. "Staff were super friendly and very helpful. Our room was lovely and having your own plunge pool was an amazing experience and great to cool off after a hot day. Very tranquil and beautiful. Only complaint was the food was just ok. The bbq night was really delicious. Felt we overpaid for the floating tapas to our room as well. Was very disappointed in that. Our server Maxine was awesome and went over an above."

"Sandals Grande Antigua truly outdid themselves to make us feel like cherished guests. Charmantha works at the pizza place. After our first visit, she greeted us by name and would talk with us about Antigua and the culture. When my husband lost his wedding ring in the ocean (the only bad part of our trip and not Sandals’ fault), Deshawn at the Mediterranean club desk went above and beyond to try to find it. He even brought in someone with a metal detector to search for it! Keon, the Club Concierge, made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. We attended the cocktail hour and had a blast with some good food, funny games and lots of laughter! Too many names to remember, but the staff overall (housekeeping, snorkeling staff, bartenders, activities staff and restaurant staff) was impressive. They want their guests to have an incredible experience and they work hard to make it happen! We look forward to returning to Sandals Grande Antigua!"

"The property seems dated but its well maintained. The staff is AMAZING. The grounds are BEAUTIFUL. There is a good variety of food....you won't go hungry no matter what time it is. It's a very large property but there's cart transportation thats always available. What can be improved? (1) There is no ATM on the property, we had to venture out to find one....scary (2) its an all-inclusive resort but you have to pay to have your in-room fridge stocked...why? (3) booking our scuba dive was cumbersome...they don't offer assistance at the resort and all of the diving is on the other side of the island...approx $100 in taxi fees. Still it was a wonderful vacation and we would visit again."
