Nice location with near by bus route of Thanet.

"Loved the view over park. Centre of Spencer close and tennis courts. Lovely and clean with 2 comfortable chairs in the room. A little concerned about the condition of the decking for the small balcony. The kettle lead did not reach the plug from dressing table. 14 steep stairs. To help with this a hand rail is required. "

"I recently stayed at The Bell Hotel in Sandwich for my 40th birthday, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm and welcoming, perfectly complementing the character and charm of this historic riverside hotel. The food was absolutely excellent—each meal was beautifully presented and bursting with flavour. Whether it was breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the menu had a thoughtful variety of options, and everything we tried was delicious. It’s clear the kitchen takes real pride in their work. The location was ideal for our trip, especially as we were in town to play at the legendary Royal St George’s Golf Club, which is just a short drive away. After a day on the course, The Bell was the perfect place to unwind—comfortable, stylish, and relaxing. The rooms had a classic charm with modern touches, and the views over the river added a tranquil feel to the whole stay. Celebrating a milestone birthday in such a setting, with great food and access to world-class golf, made the experience truly memorable. I’d highly recommend The Bell Hotel to anyone visiting the area, whether for golf, history, or just a peaceful escape."

"The best ever reception staff in Ramsgate. Clean room with a wonderful view of the harbour. We felt like very special guests. Booked this for a festival in Margate so it was a short taxi ride there and back and staff so kindly helplful in organising transport. I definitely recommend it. "

Awesome stay

"Stayed on a Friday night as we were at a family do. Perfect for us. Had the twin. Both beds comfortable - one softer than the other. Had everything we needed. There's limited on site parking but wasn't an issue for us as road restrictions finish early evening and there's no restrictions on the Sunday. The owner was attentive and helpful. Information sheet was perfect. The breakfast was excellent! "

"The property was of an ideal size for us and our 15 months baby. It is very quite, surrounded by fruit trees orchards and farm fields. Despite arriving later than expected, Steve was present to welcome us and brief us on the house an surroundings. The cottage is in good condition, especially the kitchen and bathroom that look almost new. The kitchen is very well equipped. We even had the pleasant surprise of finding fresh milk, local apple juice and cross buns which were great for our first breakfast. Tina and Steve provided us with a travel cot bed, high chair and baby bath for our son. This was very helpful and we didn’t need to bring ours for the long weekend. They are many toys, games and books available to borrow in the laundry room, and for all ages. Even for adults with a badminton set. And lots of space outside to play. The colourful fishes in the pond (protected by a fence so safe for children) are huge and very feisty and noisy when eating and we enjoyed watching them. It is a very good base to explore the area with so many places to visit within a 30 minutes drive (Canterbury, Broadstairs etc…). We definitely recommend the place and won’t hesitate to go back."
