"The Lamb is a gem, and I highly recommend booking a reservation for dinner while you stay. It was the best meal of my trip hands down! Adorable place, walkable in a small town, what more could you want! "
"We enjoyed the castle experience, but our room was by the front desk/lobby and we heard everything that was going on there until late and early in the morning. I paid additional for an extra bed which came as a cot, small, thin mattress, uncomfortable! The food however was the highlight of our stay, do stay for tea time and dinner it’s well worth it! "
"The hotel was in a great location, right on the seafront and within a 10 minute straightforward walk to the Lanes. The staff were so friendly and welcoming and had a higher professionalism than I've encountered recently in London hotels!
The room itself was spacious, clean and with a gorgeous view of the seafront and pier. I would definitely stay there again."

"We visited for a short couples break for a special occassion, we were greeted with complimentary chocolate and drinks. The staff were super friendly, welcoming and helpful. Our room was comfortable, clean, spacious and relaxing. Food was tasty and freshly prepared. "
"This hotel was so convenient as it’s literally across the Rd from the station. Walking distance from the town centre and short train journey to Brighton. Considering it is so close to the station it wasn’t too noisy in the evening/ morning and we slept well! The rooms are lovely, tastefully decorated and very comfy. I was staying with my teenager and they sorted a comfy sofa bed for him so I got a king sized bed to myself which was a result :) great products to use for shower use etc and tea/ coffee etc that was replenished daily. The staff were all really friendly and helpful and the whole place was spotless! Food was great too we tried breakfast and evening meals. The only issue which would be obvious really is they had live music on a Friday which was loud in the room but it’s a small price to pay I’d say go to the pub and watch or go out for the evening! Overall was an excellent stay and great value for money and would definitely return "
"The Arlington served the best hotel breakfast that I have ever experienced! All breakfast items were of a high quality and really tasty. Service was amazing and the rooms were comfortable. Parking is a challenge but this goes for most seaside hotels."
"Great location and place. Room was very clean. Bed was a bit soft for our liking but otherwise great. Would have been nice if Breakfast was available."
"We stayed in an economy twin room, for one night, which was very clean and in a quiet location towards the back of the hotel. We were not bothered by noise from the bus station.
The shower had a strong flow and quickly ran hot, which is always a plus.
The full breakfast was included in our room rate and was good including local sausages.
All staff were very welcoming and friendly.
For us the hotel had a bit more character and quirkiness than some of the bland chain hotels.
We enjoyed our stay."
"Great value for money in a quiet, pretty village. A perfect short stop to explore the south downs and coast. I would stay again if i return to the area."
