"The bathroom and bedroom were very clean. The carpet was faded and discolored giving the room a shabby look. The room was hot when we arrived but cooled down when the evening temperatures dropped. We were upgraded to an apartment which was a bedroom and a second room with a massive conference table Nd 6 huge heavy chairs. I would have preferred keeping my double room with a view. The location was wonderful, just yards away from the Crane."

"We had a large room on the 3rd floor. Many other people have mentioned the ear plugs on the beds on arrival and worries about noise. When there was live music in the ground floor bar it was a bit noisy, but that did not go late on the weekend nights we were there (weekends include Thursday & Friday for Gdansk). It was very quiet Monday-Wednesday. Some street noise on Thursday and Friday nights, but the double glazing in the room helped with that a lot. The airconn unit was weak, took a long time to cool the room (about 12 hours) - and the in-room mini-fridge was essentially broken so it would not cool. However, overall the room was a very nice size, the bathroom was good and the breakfasts were incredible. All but one of the hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The location is pretty stunning, right by the Golden Gate at the edge of the Long Street in old town. Many great eating options, short walks to the museums (Solidarity, WW2), or to explore the town. Also close to the airport bus and a major supermarket/shopping mall 5min walk away. I would stay again, which is my main test of a place - we mostly slept well, and the breakfast range was out-standing."

"We really enjoyed our stay, which was perfect for tourist activities in Gdansk. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They helped us purchase train tickets, advised on timing and the layout of the train station. The rooms are very nice but small. Toiletries in the bathroom were high quality."

"The hotel is superb. Lively welcome on reception and the room was lovely, comfortable and nice and cool on a hot day (air con was effective). Really nearby to main town with attractions but most of all next to the railway stations. Highly recommended"

"We loved the ambience of the hotel. The rooms were quirky. Location in a quieter part of town which suited us. Breakfast good. Beds comfy. The shower was a little awkward to use due to the angle it was located and was also disappointed not to have a safe in the room. We loved Gdansk and would definitely stay in this hotel again if we returned"

"The property is overall excellent. However housekeeping is in consistent. Beds were not made up nicely and with a 5 night stay, it would have been to have fresh sheets once. Soap dispensers not kept full - but most hotels fail at this. Room and shower were great. Location was good with fantastic views of the old city. No regrets staying here, but the hotel does need to tighten up housekeeping."
